I offer a non-judgmental, caring and compassionate approach in individual sessions with adolescents and young adults. I believe in the relationship between therapist and client. Sessions can help individuals to reflect, grow, and to develop successful relationships outside of therapy. By exploring and noticing your thoughts and feelings, we can connect them to previous experiences and behaviours to understand them more fully and thereby change unhelpful behaviours or patterns in your present life.
Family sessions provide an opportunity for family members to share their feelings and perspectives and listen to one another to better understand each other and how to communicate and support each other in more helpful and effective ways.
Parent-only sessions allow for parents to reflect on their own feelings, experiences and parenting approaches in order to better understand the parent-child dynamic as well as their child and their emotional needs. Further, together we can discuss and practice new strategies and ways of being with your child to help them to express feelings in healthier ways.
