I am a registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. I received my Masters of Social Work from the University of Toronto in 2013. I spent my first several years as a social worker training and working at the Garry Hurvitz Centre for Community Mental Health at SickKids, formerly The Hincks-Dellcrest Centre. I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents and families in individual, group, and family therapy. I also have a passion for working with parents, especially on how to support their children's emotional challenges, anxiety, behavioural issues, family conflict and transitions, mood disorders, trauma, grief and more. In my work with post-secondary students and young adults I support young people with stress, school and work-related challenges, relationship issues, self-esteem, and life transitions. In addition to my private practice, I facilitate mental health related workshops to students, parents and teachers in schools throughout the GTA with Common Compass (https://commoncompass.com).
I have training in Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Brief and Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Attachment-Focused Therapies. I use an integrated approach in order to fit clients' specific needs. I also have an interest and passion in mindfulness and self-compassion.
